Ice Cream Sandwich for Galaxy S2 GT I9100 is here and this time for a change, it’s a working version of ICS for Galaxy S2. The version which we will be going to see is almost near to stable build with all the basic things like Calling, SMS, internet works perfectly. This ROM has leaked from the tables of Samfirmware, thanks to them for satisfying the needs of the users to get this ICS build early than expected one.
Note: Please note that since this ROM employs the custom based kernel which is unsecured, it will count the custom Counter which will void the warranty.

Now, let’s proceed to the list of pre requisites which you need to follow. But before that you need to ensure that you have created a backup of all the data which is there in your phone memory so that just in case if the data gets lost or corrupted, you should be able to restore the same. So, for your convenience we have mentioned the list of things which you need to do so as to backup or restore the data.
SMS – Use “SMS Backup & Restore app”,
Contacts – Sync with the Gmail application,
Call Log – Call Log and Restore
Images, Songs, Videos, Files – Copy to internal / External SD Card,
APN and MMS Settings – Note down from the path “Applications > Settings > Wireless and Network > Mobile Networks > Access Point Names”
Note: Ensure that you have disabled all the Security Suites, Firewall tools and also the KIES PC Suite as these tools tend to interrupt the process of firmware update. Also, additionally enable the USB Debugging from the path “Settings > Applications > Development > USB debugging”.
Instructions for Users on Custom ROM:
Just in case if you are ON any of the custom ROM firmwares then you need to first turn Off the phone and then you will have to enter into the recovery mode. The recovery mode can be entered by holding Volume UP key + Center button and then press the Power ON button simultaneously to turn ON the device in the RECOVERY mode.
