Soon the Gingerbread updates for Galaxy S2 I9100 will be a passe, all thanks to an all new update of Ice Cream Sandwich Android 4.0.1 which is being rolled out. It was the last time we saw on how you can update with the XXKP1 build of ICS Android 4.0.1. Seems like by the end of January, 2012 there will be a fully functional ICS build for Galaxy S2 smartphone. This all new update of XXKP2 comes days after its predecessor launch of XXKP1. Please note that this update is not officially released by Samsung Electronics, there is stIll no exact date revealed by Samsung Electronics on by when the Official update of ICS Android 4.0 will arrive.
Note: Please note that since this ROM employs the custom based kernel which is unsecured, it will count the custom Counter which will void the warranty.

Note: Please Note your current firmware version on which you are ON. To know on what version of firmware you are currently on then you need to go to path “Settings > About Phone > Firmware Version” where you will find the version of Android OS where it will show the current firmware version. Applying this firmware on your Samsung Galaxy S2 doesn’t require you to root the device. Also, just in case if your device is rooted then after applying with this update, the rooting access will be revoked.
