How To Update Samsung Galaxy S2 GT I9100 with XWKJ3 Gingerbread 2.3.5 Firmware

Samsung Galaxy S2 LogoIt was the last time when we saw on how you can apply the update of XWKI8 Gingerbread 2.3.5 version and now in this article we will help you in updating your Samsung Galaxy S2 GT I9100. Though there are not many visual changes which you can see in this version of firmware but there many performance fixes which have been done so as to facilitate better Internet speed on the stock browser and also some of the kernel components have been changed so as to deliver slightly better battery performance. The best part of this firmware is that anyone with their Samsung Galaxy S2 GT I9100 phone can apply this update, the only condition is that you need to have an unlocked phone. This all new firmware version is dubbed as XWKJ3 Gingerbread 2.3.5 version.

    i tried to update via kies, but it says i have latest firmware update on my phone

    The download mode can be entered by pressing Volume down Key, Center button, and holding both simultaneously press the Power Button.
    i try many time to go download mode, but no work why?

    I have some queries which I’d like to know.
    I purchased this phone two months back from India and it’s pre installed android version is 2.3.3,
    Now if i update my phone with this firmware will it void my manufacturer warranty?
    And is this the official release or some sort of beta version of original 2.3.5?

    after the download, shut down and recovery wipe cache, wipe data/factory reset . it still comes up showing 2.3.5, not 2.3.6 .

    Can I install this firmware on custom rom without having to wipe? I have too much stuff on my phone and i dont want to risk doing risky backup that might not work when i install new firmware. I cant use zip installer from CWM to install it on a custom rom either right?

    Hi i have updated it to the same no issues but i want to reflash it to XWKF3 i have downloaded thre rom which i had in sgs2 when out of box bt if download the XWKF3 it is showing error in copying the files i need to downgrade since i want to sale for some reasons please suggest me how to downgrade to 2.3.3 and indian pda DD and csc DD version pls suggest Thanks in advance.

    1. My SII has got a problem of not able to send /receive call sometimes. it happens once in 2/3 days. all other thing looks fine just cant call or brows through GPRS. this is not a carrier’s problem as SIM is working fine in other handsets. It happens only with Galaxy SII. Is it any kinda application/settings issue. when problem occurs….flight mode hangs up and Mobile Network Stat syas “connecting”
    2. Using Android 2.3.4 Firmware I9100XXKG1 ? will upgrade to 2.3.5 work to resolve? any Idea ?

    Is it that Samsung hasnt officially released any firmware updates in India as I dont see any updates when connected via Kies. Kies says I have the latest firmware.

    After dowloading the firmware of 2.3.5 to my mobile galaxy s2 i start to enter in to the recovery mode.
    I tried the instructions as given by pressing the UP key of volume and POWER ON button. not even single time it is entering into recovery mode .

    Please clarify this doubt to me

    While updating this my hp got error message saying failed.Then I disconnected the phone even on the set saying its downloading mode.Now when I try to restart back the phone it won’t.Just black screen with phone and pc icon showing ‘!’. What should I do now?Please advise

    FYI, appears to be a Dutch firmware, installing \Samsung MMM\ and \Digilezen\ custom Dutch apps.

    System-wise, all working great, and root kept intact by using the \Odin Mobile Installer\ mentioned here recently.
