How to Update Samsung Galaxy S3 GT I9300 with XXDLH6 Jellybean 4.1.1 Firmware

S3 LogoWith the probable date of August 29 nearing, which is the probable date of the Jellybean 4.1.1 release for the Samsung Galaxy S3 GT I9300 as per our close sources, there seems to be many releases which are getting leaked, the latest being the XXDLH6 version which is indeed the latest Jellybean 4.1.1 built of firmware. Over a period of this article we will be checking out on how in a simplest possible manner you can apply the same. Please be informed that this is not an Official version yet and is not officially pushed via KIES and have to be manually applied with the Odin software tool. Please note that this is not an Official firmware version, the actual firmware of Jellybean 4.1.1 may differ from the actual one.

Disclaimer: We should not be held responsible or liable for any damage happened to your device due to not following the instructions. It is very unlikely that there will be any damage to your device if you follow all the instructions.

Just in case if you have already rooted the device, the root access will be revoked and you will have to root the device. You can alternatively make use of the OTA Root Keeper if you wanted to keep the firmware rooted, but then again we haven’t tested on whether this one works or not. As of now this firmware is only supported by the international version I9300 model and not with any other built of the model number.

Ensure that you are backing all the data present in your Samsung Galaxy SII, preferably moving all the necessary data to your computer and other things like Contacts to the Google account as there is a possibility of data getting wiped off in the middle of rooting process. You can back up all the SMS messages in your tablet with the help of an app called SMS Backup & Restore app.

Ensure that the minimum battery left in your phone should not be below 60% so as to make sure that it doesn’t get turned Off in the middle of firmware update. Also, enable the KIES mode in the USB Connection options which you can find from the Settings.

So assuming that you have followed all the above mentioned instructions, you can now proceed to the next page where we have summed up a detailed guide on how to apply this update.
