How To Update Samsung Galaxy Y S5360 with XXKK6 Gingerbread 2.3.6 Firmware
XXKK6 Gingerbread 2.3.6 firmware is the latest November release for the Samsung Galaxy Y S5360 device. This update comes at a time when some users have reported issues regarding the Wi Fi bug but this update seems to have worked pretty well for the users on Static IP. Please note that this is not an Official update released by Samsung Electronics and is the beta leaked version. It is very unfortunate that despite Galaxy Y phone being on the latest and official 2.3.6 Gingerbread firmware, there are issues with the firmware.

usb ports are closed, you need to check with the same as write option shows failed

you can stay back to your firmware as there are not many differences! if you want then you can update the same!

S5360 cant be updated with one package md5 files . Odin for s5360 only supports multiple package,mean that you need the bootloader,pda, phone and csc files. The same that you did for DXKJ3 asia S5360 firmware (one file dont work,you provided all the md5s)

Pllzzz ….Mr. Pradeep …… I followed ur instructions for download mode but my device was not set on download mode …. I tried another way ( before connecting to PC … I pressed the listed buttons and it was set on download mode ) ……. But when I tried to connect it to PC …odin didnt recognize it ….. So wats ur instructions ????!!!

Your firmware doesnt work because ,as i said,s5360 at this moment can be updated only with full package (pit , bootloader,pda,modem and csc files).
Please stop telling people that one package can be flashed to a s5360 because it isnt . Just look at your post regarding 2.3.6 asian firmware . First you told people that one package worked,then you made a new “revised” post bug-free.

I’ve successfully updated the firmware using Kies. Here are the facts that i would like to share.
1. Kies won’t update your phone if you are connected to the Internet using 3G USB Modem.
** I was able to update my phone using a guest OS (windows 7) running inside Vmware workstation.
2. Using windows 7 the kies driver installed when the phone is running (OS Loaded) is a different driver if your phone is in the Download mode.
**I have to set my phone in download mode then install driver by allowing the system to download drivers online. (kies driver doesn’t work if the phone is in download mode)
The baseband version of my phone is now S5360DXKK2.

False . The “enhanced version” you’ve posted in this article is one package . Hell ,you say in this article that it contains only 3 files. One md5 , one dll and odin v1.0
odin in s5360 needs multi package (PIT,BOOTLOADER,PDA,MODEM,and CSC).
one package is impossible to flash on a s5360 .

initially i update my samsung galaxy y from 2.3.5 to 2.3.6.. but after some time my mobile started giving errors like….SD card removed unexpectely….
so there is only one soltion 4 this problem …just go samsung service center with ur bill and tell the srvice man for updation… tn the samsung people will frst 4mate ur mobile os and then they will install new software…..and its free of cost if ur mobile is under grrnty….

the only way to flash firmware n s5360 is by using all 4 files, i.e. pda, phone, bootloader and csc.. so please provide all these files for the indian version as u did for the asian kj3 version.. there is NO point in providing single files as the WONT work on s5360.

S5360 at this time only works with full package (PIT,BOOTLOADER,PDA,MODEM AND CSC).
Ignore other sites telling that you can flash with one package . Odin for s5360 DO NOT SUPPORT IT.
Until some dev creates a one package flasher for the s5360 we’re fucked
