How To Update Samsung Galaxy Vibrant with ICS Android 4.0 Firmware

Then we will guide you in the due course of the article on how you can easily update with this ICS build. Though this version of firmware is still in the alpha stages and is the unstable version but if you are an ultra-excited person then this is for you. Please be informed that this is not an official update released by Samsung Electronics and there is still no ETA on by when the official update of ICS will be arriving for this handset. Also, in the process of applying this update, you need to root the phone which will void the warranty.

      This is not possible to work on Mac, its purely for Windows based computers only.

    I am unable to download the zip file.
    The server says you don’t have permission to download the file. please help me in this regard, can i get the same files somewhere else?

    I’m assuming the 911 does not work? Or does it work with this build? I know the major ROM developers said they would no longer develop for the Vibrant, because they said that 911 didn’t work on non-samsung ROMS.

    I am getting one error when I try to instal ICS firmware. The error is.
    e: signature verification failed.

        My phone is rooted. to confirm I tried these steps..

        c:\>adb shell

        $ su

        I feel my device is rooted.
