SMS – Use “SMS Backup & Restore app”,
Contacts – Sync with the Gmail application,
Call Log – Call Log and Restore
Songs, Videos, Files – Copy to internal / External SD Card,
APN and MMS Settings – Note down from the path “Applications > Settings > Wireless and Network > Mobile Networks > Access Point Names”

I found out why. When you extract the files, do not extract them directly onto the desktop, but keep them in the G70XXKPF folder and run Odin from that folder. It worked for me!

And now Doodle Scedule and a few other apps work – plus the battery life is waaaay better, a revolution :-))

Have tried it twice now and on ODIN all I get is the following:

    Odin v.3 engine (ID:14)..
    File analysis..
    Enter CS for MD5..
    Leave CS..

It then seems to do nothing else.

Anyone else seen this and now how to fix?

Matt: I found that using a later version of Odin helped – Version 1.85

Same experience as Matt, sadly. Everything seems to work, but then I read the five lines that Matt writes above… What to do?

wow this is amazing!! just a couple of little things on this stock, the homescreen no longer rotates on landscape like it did on 2.2.2 but its no major issue, and in the settings menu, i don’t appear to have all the android 2.3.5 options but this is not an issue as there are workarounds, but just letting u know, thank you so much!

Thank you for this. I now have 2.3.5 a more up to date version than my Galaxy S2. One thing is that the Haptic feedback has stopped working. Have you any suggestions.

Thanks again a very easy step by step guide.
