The specialty doesn’t stop there either as this custom ROM which is dubbed as MIUI comes with many features which ropes in the goodness of Gingerbread 2.3.9.  Please note that this is not an Official version as of now released by Sprint but this really indeed is the one which deserves a try if you want to install the custom ROMs. For full details on the Change Log and complete feature list, you can refer to the MIUI’s Official Change Log Page.

Note: In the process of applying this firmware, the device needs to be rooted and once the device is rooted the warranty will get void. Only way with which you can revoke the lost warranty is by re applying the official firmware update again for which we will try to come up with the article.

ContactsSync with the Gmail application,
Call Log – Call Log and Restore
Songs, Videos, Files – Copy to internal / External SD Card,
APN and MMS Settings – Note down from the path “Applications > Settings > Wireless and Network > Mobile Networks > Access Point Names

  • Minimum battery left in the device should be 60% so as to avoid device from getting turned Off in the middle of firmware update. Also, you need to ensure that all the antivirus suites in your phone and PC are completely disabled.
  • Enable the USB debugging in your Samsung Galaxy S2 GT I9100 phone from the path “Settings > Applications > Development > USB debugging”. The USB Debugging option should be ticked as shown in the below screen capture. (Phone should be disconnected from computer while enabling the USB Debugging Mode).

the rom is based on a specific mrifware (XXLPH), so you have to install that first.Don’t be frightened by the amount of work, it is not hard and demanding. When you have installed XXLPH(the leaked mrifware) you can installthe ics zip WHEN ROOTED THE XXLPH.Now I had no bootloop and a ROM I like very much, my friend with the pexus couldn’t see the difference, but there are some minor ones. Please remark that there is a new version available, version 6.The only thing I had was that some apps couldnt be installed from the market, but this is a small part. The only thing I want to know is how to update to v6.1? Could you make a torturial Max, because I think I am not the only one? Sorry for bad typing, I sent this from an iPhone:)Keep up the ROM reviews Max! You do a great job:)Greets from Holland
