How to Update Sprint Nexus S 4G with the Latest ICS 4.0.4 Firmware

Procedure to Update Sprint Nexus S 4G with ICS Android 4.0.4:

  • After downloading the ICS 4.0.4 Firmware Package from here to your computer, you now need to connect your phone to the computer with the help of USB cable to place this zip file in your phone. Ensure that you are not placing deep into the sub folders.
  • Now, remove the connected USB Cable and boot the device in the Clock Work Mod recovery mode which you can do it by pressing the Volume Down button and pressing the Power button while the phone is in Off condition.
  • Now, select Wipe data/factory reset and also you need to select Wipe Cache partition and then reboot your device by selecting reboot system now with the help of Volume rocker keys. Also, you need to clear the “Wipe Dalvik Cache” from the Advanced Option. With the help of Volume rocker keys, select “++++ Go Back ++++”.

  • Select “install zip from sd card” > “choose zip from sd card” > and select the “Firmware Zip package”. Once the zip file is updated successfully, you now need to select “reboot system now” option by selecting “++++ Go Back ++++”.

Note: just in case if there are any issues, then you will have to again re apply the firmware by following the steps again.
