Vivo is geared up to launch a new device in the Z series in the Chinese market which will be called as Vivo Z5x. According to the latest leaks of the device, the handset will be coming with a 5000mAh battery which is the biggest of any Z series smartphones and will also come with a punch-hole display on the front. The device is expected to be running on the latest Android 9 Pie operating system with FunTouch OS 9 on top. As of now, nothing is known about the launch date nor the pricing.
The handset could be featuring a 6.3-inch punch-hole display offering Full HD+ resolution similar to what we have seen with the Samsung Galaxy A60 smartphone and could be powered with the same 11nm Snapdragon 675 SoC. Well, earlier this month Vivo also launched its Z3x smartphone in China that came with a 6.26-inch IPS display with Full HD+ (2280 x 1080 pixels) resolution and 19:9 aspect ratio.
To power the handset there was a 14nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 Mobile Platform coupled with Kryo 260 CPU and Adreno 512 GPU coupled with 4GB of RAM. It sports 64GB of internal storage and it could be extended further via microSD card slot. There is a 13MP + 2MP dual camera with f/2.2 aperture and LED flash on the rear and a 16MP selfie camera. There is 3,260mAh battery on the back to keep the device alive that comes without any fast charging technology.
It came with a glossy finish polycarbonate body with curved edges and came out of the box with Android 9 Pie operating system based in FunTouch OS 9.0. There aren’t many details about the Vivo Z5x as of now but we can expect them to be revealed soon in the coming days.
