Water Resistant Motorola Defy XT & Dual SIM Defy Mini Launched – Price & Specs

Motorola now acquired by Google has now come up with the announcement of the Motorola Defy XT and Defy Mini is also launched. The Defy XT is a dual SIM smartphone and Defy Mini is the little brother of the Motorola Defy smartphone. Defy Mini was announced in January 2012 and it has taken around 6 months for this device to arrive in India. These smartphones are been launched with the promotion as the dust proof, scratch resistant and water proof phones targeting town and village audience which contribute to 70 % of the Indian population who primary job is agriculture. As they are dependent on agriculture they would be always in the fear of dropping their smartphone in water or dust might get in their smartphone, so these two smartphone is ideally for them.

Motorola Defy Mini SmartPhone

Motorola Defy has a name for its durability and strength and so has the little brother of it, called Defy Mini is with same strength and durability. It’s a water-resistant and dust-proof smart phone. The Defy Mini smartphone is a water proof, scratch resistant, dust proof smartphone which comes out with amplified battery life. Defy XT is with 3.7 inches capacitive touchscreen display along with Gorilla Glass display and equipped with 1 Ghz processor and 5 mega pixel camera with auto focus and flash and equipped with VGA front facing camera which can be used for the face to face video chat and web conference. This is with the Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS and MotoSwitch 2.0 is the Motorola customization of the Android in the user interface segment. Other features like 512 MB RAM, 3.5 mm headphone jack, Bluetooth 3.0 with A2DP, Wi Fi tether, Wi Fi, DLNA, GPS and 1650 mAh battery makes the device perfect enough but its priced little higher than the Defy Mini smartphone and it’s against in competition with the Samsung Galaxy Ace, Galaxy Ace Plus and HTC One V which falls under the same price tag.

    Well I really like both of these phones but can we have a review of these water resistant motorola smartphones with sony xperia waterproof mobiles.  Anyways thank you for notifying about these water resistant Smartphone.

    11,500 is to expensive for Defy Mini. HTC Explorer is available at 8500 with same specifications. It is not worth spending 3K extra just for Gorilla glass.
