A few hours ago, we exclusively reported about Xiaomi Mi5 (Gemini) with Snapdragon 820 SoC spotted on GeekBench listing. Now, yet another device dubbed as the Xiaomi Mi Pad 2 has been surfaced on the GeekBench revealing few specifications of the tablet. The Mi Pad 2 is the successor of Xiaomi’s first ever tablet called as Mi Pad that launched way back in 2014.
As per the listing, the Mi Pad 2 comes powered by Intel X Z8500 quad-core processor clocked at 2.24GHz coupled with 2GB RAM. The GeekBench scores of the tablet include 985 on single-core and 3268 on a multi-core that is lesser compared to the Mi Pad that scored 1113 and 3481 points on Single-core and multi-core respectively.
The listing reveals that the tablet runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop and is also expected to sport a metal frame and glass on front and back of the tablet. The other rumored specifications of the tablet are 7.9-inch (2048×1536 pixels) IPS display, 16GB internal storage, 5MP rear camera with LED flash, 2MP front shooter, and will include connectivity options like Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS/A-GPS and microUSB port.
Since, the Mi5 is expected to launch on December 3, we can also expect the company to launch the Mi Pad 2 on the same day. Although the company officially confirms nothing, we advise you to take this information with a pinch of salt.
