Update: Xiaomi has launched the Mi4i smartphone in India, today. The smartphone will go on sale starting April 30th and registrations begin today at 8pm. It will be available in white colour, with colorful versions coming soon.
Xiaomi Mi4i has a 5″ full HD Display.It is powered by snapdragon 615 2nd gen 64 bit octa core processor coupled with 2GB of RAM Mi 4i comes with 3120 mAh battery and supports the quick charge and it lasts for 1.5 days. Mi 4i comes with 13MP and 5MP camera with two-tone flash. The smartphone runs on android lollipop. Paired with an Adreno 405 GPU and support for OpenGL ES 3.0, the latest standard in 3D gaming, Mi 4i is adept at handling both everyday apps and intense 3D games.
The smartphone comes with Beautify feature that does facial adjustment based on your age and gender estimate.. Xiaomi’s MIUI 6 now in 6 Indian languages including Hindi, Bengali, Tamil and Telugu. Is a dual-SIM dual-active smartphone with both its SIMs supporting TDD and FDD LTE 4G networks. It even has the latest Sunlight Display, which uses hardware-level technology to adjust contrasts for each pixel in real time, dramatically improving readability in sunlight. All these come protected by Corning OGS glass.
Earlier: According to a latest rumour, Xiaomi’s Mi4i is expected to be priced around $161(Rs 10,000).The smartphone IS a low-end version of the company’s flagship Mi4 smartphone. Xiaomi is gearing up for an event named ‘Global Mi phone premiere’ which will take place in New Delhi on April 23, wherein the company is likely to launch the smartphone.
Though there is no word on the exact specs of the Mi 4i, it is rumoured to come with a 1.65GHz Snapdragon 615 octa-core 64-bit processor paired with 2GB RAM and will run on Android 5.0.2 Lollipop out-of-the-box. Mi 4i is expected to feature a 5-inch 1080p (1920 x 1080) display along with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage.

Live images of Xiaomi’s new smartphone Mi4i have been leaked. The image shows off very thin bezels. The smartphone in the images does resemble the Mi 4 in general shape. The sensors and the front-facing camera in the Mi4i are positioned differently as compared to Mi4. This handset is expected to be announced in India on 23rd April.
Xiaomi Mi4 was spotted on the Singapore IDA database, earlier this week. The same device also appeared on the GeekBench3 website. The smartphone has been named as “Xiaomi Mi4i”. Going through it’s specs, the smartphone looks like a low-end version of the company’s flagship Mi4 smartphone.
The Xiaomi Mi 4i is expected to feature a 5-inch 1080p (1920 x 1080) display along with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. This handset will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 615, a 64-bit octa-core processor clocked at 1.6GHz that ships with an Adreno 405 GPU. The smartphone is expected to have the 13-megapixel rear camera 5-megapixel front camera. The smartphone will run on Android 5.0.2 Lollipop with Xiaomi’s MIUI OS on the top.

A new variant of Xiaomi Mi4 has been spotted on the Singapore IDA database. The same device also appeared on the GeekBench3 website. The smartphone has been named as “Xiaomi Mi4i”. Going through it’s specs, the smartphone looks like a low-end version of the company’s flagship Mi4 smartphone.
According to the GeekBench3 results, the Xiaomi Mi4 will be powered by 1.6GHz octa-core Qualcomm processor coupled with 2GB RAM and will run on Android 5.0.2 OS.
It is interesting to note that Xiaomi has announced an event in New Delhi on April 23. The company made the announcement via a tweet, which read “i IS COMING. Register for our global Mi phone premiere in New Delhi on 23 April.” Xiaomi Mi4i might have been the reason why the teaser stressed so much on “i is coming”.
Xiaomi has requested all Mi fans to register for the event. The Xiaomi India site further reveals that the event will see CEO & Founder Lei Jun, President & Co-Founder Bin Lin, and VP Xiaomi Global Hugo Barra, in attendance.
