For now Airtel is the only telecom service provider that is offering 4G LTE network in India. In Kolkata on April 10, 2012 Bharti Airtel launched India’s first ever 4G service using TD-LTE technology. The Airte 4G services are available in the regions of, Kolkata, Bangalore, Pune and Chandigarh. However in Chandigarh it is available in major cities like Mohali and Panchkula.
Airtel is planning to launch its 4G services in Delhi by Jan 2014, but it would not be supporting mainstream 4G phones like the Samsung Galaxy Note 3, Samsung Galaxy S4 and few others. The iPhone 5c & 5s (yeah, Apple) had received an update in the Indian versions under Airtel, as the network provider wanted to make it compatible with the 4G LTE networks.
There is no word on the pricing and the launch date yet, but with 4G LTE connectivity the phone will be a look out for. Are you interested in taking this phone with 4G LTE connectivity?
