Guide to Update Xperia Z ROM in your Galaxy S3 Smartphone:
- Download Xperia Z ROM for Galaxy S3 Smartphone (Alternate Link) from here to your computer. Once downloaded, connect your device to the computer with the help of original USB cable and place the zip file in your device’s SD CARD.
- Disconnect the device so that you can then enter the device in the recovery mode. Recovery mode can be entered with the help of ROM Manager or with the help of Manual method.
- Recovery mode in Galaxy S3 can be entered manually by pressing Volume Up Key, Center button, and holding both simultaneously press the Power Button after which a you will get to see the recovery mode options.
- In recovery mode, select “install zip from sd card” and then choose the zip file of Xperia Z Firmware which you have placed in your phone. Now, once the firmware is updated, select “Go Back” and select “reboot system now”. Also, in the process of installation, it will ask you on which are the apps you want to install. To check on whether the firmware is updated or not, head over to the path “Settings > About Phone” for checking the same. Please note that for applying the update, it may take more than 4 -5 minutes.
Note: If the device gets into the boot loop sequence or say gets stuck in the welcome screen, just re insert the battery and re follow the above instructions so as to again follow the above mentioned instructions.
