After announcing the new version of Dell Venue tablets later in June 2014 in US markets, Dell has finally announced the launch of 2 new tablets in India which are Dell Venue 7 and Venue 8 which comes with the latest OS along with the latest specs to match with the offerings which others are offering in the same range. Both these tablets will run the latest Android 4.4 KitKat Operating system and are priced at $159 and $199 for Dell Venue 7 and Venue 8 respectively. As the name of these devices suggest, these devices have a 7 inch and 8 inch display and will have the same 5 MP camera on the front. With the likes of Samsung, Micromax and other tablets already available in the same price range, it will be a task for Dell to garner decent amount of market share int the tablet space.
Both the tablets are powered by a Intel Atom processor, while the processor in Dell Venue 7 clocks at 1.6 GHz and in Dell Venue 8 it clocks at 2.1 GHz. Moreover they also have the same 4500 mAh battery on the back and come with 16 GB internal storage option that can be further extended. The Dell Venue 7 and Venue 8 sport the similar 1280 x 800 resolutions even though they have different screen sizes. The Dell Venue 7 with WiFi variant costs Rs. 11,999 while the WiFi + Cellular version costs Rs. 14,999.
