Japan based NEC Corporation today announced the launch of another tablet in the LifeTouch series of tablets. Previously LifeTouch B Android tablet was launched by them for corporates use and newly announced LifeTouch L is for the family users.

NEC LifeTouch L is with pretty high specifications boosting with 10.1 inches large screen display unlike the current trend being of the 7 inches. Its uses the WXGA IPS resolution providing liquid crystal display. The large screen display is perfectly suitable for providing the complete entertainment needs to the users in your family extending your parents as well. This is equipped with 1.5 Ghz dual core TI OMAP 4460 processor which provides quick response while opening apps and performs task faster and quicker.
Going through the design of the tablet is with thin and light chassis with the thickness measuring 7.99 mm. It would measure a thickness of 257 mm × 181 mm × 7.99 mm weights 540 grams. This would be with Power VR SGX 540 GPU and adds 1 GB of DDR2 RAM.
NEC LifeTouch L with two types of models LT-TLX5W1A comes with 32 GB inbuilt storage capacity and LT-TLX0W1A is with 16 GB internal memory support. Along with that there is a micro SD card slot by which you can add external memory supporting maximum of 32 GB storage. This would come with the latest Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich pre installed on it and it would provide access to Android Play Store as well to download and install applications, widgets and tools for free.
The tablet is equipped with 5 mega pixel camera on the rear side used for taking pictures and recording HD videos, along with front facing 1.2 mega pixel camera which can be used for face to face video calls and video conference calls. There is Wi Fi internet connectivity along with Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR acting along. It would be spotted with various sensors like accelerometer, gyrometer, light sensor, digital compass and GPS. This would come with micro USB port for charging, USB port, micro SD card slot, micro HDMI, 3.5 mm combo jack and microphone speakers.
This would be equipped with 7710 mAh battery which provides 10 hours of video viewing time. The tablet would be shipped starting from July this year.
