The Galaxy J2 Core from Samsung was the first Android Go device from the company that was launched last year. Now there are many leaks of the upcoming Android Go device which will be included in the Galaxy A series. Called as the Galaxy A2 Core, the user manual of this device has been spotted which reveals complete specifications of the upcoming handset. The smartphone is expected to be unveiled at a launched event scheduled on April 10 and it will come with the model number SM-A260.
According to the fresh leaks, the upcoming Galaxy A2 Core will be coming with a small 5-inch TFT display similar to its the Galaxy J2 Core with qHD (960 x 540 pixels) resolutions. The selling point of the handset will be its software since it is going to be an Android Go device which will come out of the box with Android 9.0 Pie operating system. Under the hood, there will be a 14nm Exynos 7870 SoC with four cores and a clocking speed of 1.6GHz. It will be coming with 1 GB of RAM with Mali-T830 MP1 GPU and we cannot expect much from it since it is going to be a budget-friendly device.
Furthermore, it should be coming with 8GB of onboard storage that can be extended further with a microSD card slot. As far as the camera section is concerned, the device will be sporting a 5MP camera sensor on the rear with LED flash and f/1.9 aperture size while on the front there is an unknown selfie camera. The handset measures 141.6 x 71.0 x 9.1 mm and weighs 142 grams and there is a single speaker placed on the rear.
The Galaxy A2 Core will be coming with the connectivity options like 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, FM Radio, 3.5mm audio jack, and a MicroUSB 2.0 port along with the sensors that are required for the automation of the handset. Moreover, there is also a 2600mAh battery on the back to power the handset.
