LG is all set to launch a new affordable 4G-LTE handset called as LG Optimus Zone 3 via Verizon. Recently, popular leakster @evleaks has leaked a press image of the upcoming entry-level smartphone showing the 4G-LTE capable device with on-screen Android navigation buttons. Apart from the image, no other information has been revealed, but we expect it to come with few upgraded specifications over the Optimus Zone 2 that launched last year.
As per the leaks, the Optimus Zone 3 will feature a 4-inch (854×480 pixels) FWVGA IPS display when compared to the 3.5-inch display of the Optimus Zone 2. It is expected to come powered by same Snapdragon 200 processor coupled with 1GB of RAM, 4GB of storage and microSD card slot for expansion upto 32GB. The device will sport a 3MP rear camera with flash and a VGA front-facing shooter for selfie clicks.
The dual sim dual standby capable smartphone supports 4G-LTE connectivity and will include standard connectivity options like Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS and microUSB port. The device is expected to power a 1700mAh battery and will run on Android 5.0 Lollipop out of the box. The information about the budget-friendly Optimus Zone 3 is completely based on rumors and we can expect the device to launch with different specifications. A quick recall, LG has recently announced a new tablet in its G Pad series called as LG G Pad II 8.3 LTE. The tablet will be currently available for purchase only in Korea through local operator LG U+ starting from December 23rd. The LG G Pad II 8.3 LTE features 8.3-inch WUXGA display, Snapdragon 615 64-bit octa-core SoC, 2GB RAM, 16GB onboard storage, 8MP primary camera, 2MP front shooter and 4800mAh battery. As the name indicates, the tablet supports 4G-LTE connectivity and runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop out of the box.
