Archos Unveiled 50D Helium with Snapdragon 410 and Android 5.1 Lollipop for Just $129

Archos, a French phone maker, had launched new entry-level smartphone ‘Archos 50d helium’ in the US. The device comes with dual SIM dual standby capability and will be available in stores by the end of this month. The design of the smartphones mostly resembles with OnePlus One. It comes with the stone finish back cover that can swappable and the company also provides two covers in the colours Storm Blue and Stone Grey within the package.

The device sports a 5-inch HD (1280×720) IPS display with a pixel density of 293ppi. It is powered by 64-bit Snapdragon 410 processor clocked at 1.2GHz coupled with Adreno 305 GPU and 1GB of RAM. There is an 8GB of internal storage along with a microSD card slot for storage expansion and a battery of 2,100mAh capacity.

It comes equipped with a 13MP rear camera with autofocus and LED flash, and a 5MP front-facing camera for selfies and video calls. Connectivity of the device includes 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0 LE, GPS/A-GPS and microUSB 2.0. The smartphones measures 146.1 x 72.1 x 8.4 mm and weighs only 154 grams.

The best part is that it runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop out-of-the-box while still many high-end devices haven’t received the update. It will be a perfect smartphone those who looks for 4G connectivity along with some clean UI. Currently, it will make available for the US only and can be picked up in stores for $129.
