The Taiwan-based company Asus has unveiled its new smartphone, the Pegasus 2 Plus X550 in China. The smartphone was showcased at a Chinese exhibition in Nanjing. The smartphone is a successor to the Pegasus X002 which was launched last year.
The Asus Pegasus 2 Plus come with a 5.5 inch full HD display while powered by a 64 bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 octa-core SoC coupled with 3 GB of RAM.
The smartphone also sports a 13 MP camera in the rear with LED flash and an 8 MP front facing camera with dual SIM capacity. The new Pegasus 2 Plus also comes backed with a 3,030 mAh battery and runs the latest Android 5.1.1 Lollipop with the latest Zun UI skinned on top.While the pricing and availability details are not yet known, the company has announced that the Asus Pegasus 2 Plus would come in two colours – Rose Gold and White.
Asus had launched the Pegasus X002 smartphone last year in December. The smartphone runs Android 4.4 KitKat with ZenUI on top. It features a 5-inch (720×1280 pixels) display and is powered by a 64-bit quad-core 1.5GHz MediaTek MT6732 processor coupled with 2GB RAM.
The Asus Pegasus X002 sports an 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 5-megapixel front camera. The 16GB internal storage on Pegasus X002 is further expandable via microSD (up to 64GB).Connectivity options on the Asus Pegasus X002 include 4G TD-LTE, Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi direct, GPRS/ EDGE, GPS/ A-GPS, Bluetooth 4.0 with A2DP, and Micro-USB. The handset is backed by a 2500mAh Li-Ion battery.
