Leshi Internet Information & Technology, also known as LeTv, is a Chinese entertainment company and the largest online video company in China. The company recently entered into the highly crowded Chinese smartphone market by launching three smartphones Le One, Le One Pro, Le Max. These three smartphones are called as ‘Le Superphones,’ by the company and were available starting from April this year. The Le Superphones gained popularity in the premium smartphone category and reached 1 million sales mark in just a couple of months of their availability in the market. It has also become one the fastest company to reach the 1 million sales in a very quick span of time.
LeTv has sold 427,000 Le Superphone handsets in August alone, which means the company ranked no.5 and grabbed 4.5% of online smartphone market. The company actually managed to sell more smartphones than tech giants Samsung and Apple when it comes to online sales in August.
The China-based smartphone manufacturer recently conducted LeTv fans Festival where the company has made the sales of the products worth $280 million in just a single day. These are quite impressive numbers considering LeTv is still new to the smartphone world. The company has also been successful in competing against major manufacturers like Huawei, Samsung, Xiaomi, Apple, and others.
Recently, a new rumor regarding next LeTv smartphone surfaced online. The company is said to be working on the Le Max’s successor called as Le Max 2. The device is rumored to come with Snapdragon 820 SoC and massive 6GB RAM. The earlier launched Le One, Le One Pro, and Le Max were the first handsets to feature USB Type-C port and also impressed one and all with their superior build quality.
