LG G Pad II 8.3 LTE Tablet with Snapdragon 615 SoC & 4800mAh battery Announced

The South Korean Giant, LG has today announced a new tablet in its G Pad series called as LG G Pad II 8.3 LTE. The name itself indicates the device supports 4G-LTE connectivity and will currently be available only in its home country, i.e., Korea through local operator LG U+ starting from December 23rd.

Regarding specifications, the G Pad II 8.3 LTE comes with an 8.3-inch (1920×1200 pixels) WUXGA display with pixel density of 273ppi. Under the hood, it comes equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 64-bit octa-core processor clocked at 1.5GHz coupled with Adreno 405 GPU. The device comes with 2GB of RAM, 16GB of onboard storage and also includes a microSD card slot for expansion upto 128GB.

On the camera section, the tablet sports an 8MP autofocus rear camera with LED flash and a 2MP front-facing camera for video chats and selfie images. Connectivity options on the dual sim capable device include 4G-LTE, Wi-Fi, GPS/A-GPS, Bluetooth 4.1, and microUSB port 2.0 with OTG functionality.

The tablet comes with a built-in stylus and also comes pre-loaded with Microsoft Office apps. The device powers a 4800mAh battery that can easily last for an entire day on mixed usage. Its dimensions measure 216.8 x 126.5 x 8.8 mm and weighs around 366 grams. The tablet runs on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop out of the box and will be available in Brown with Gold color variant. The company did not reveal any details on the pricing of the tablet yet. Stay tuned for more updates in coming days.
