Oppo R7 now up for pre-order Internationally, including the US

Oppo announced the R7 and R7 Plus in China last month. These phones were made available for purchase right away, but only in China. The Oppo R7 went on pre-order in some European countries, but it won’t hit shelves until July.

The Oppo R7 handset is now made available internationally, including in the US. While you can place your pre-order now, shipping will only commence from July onward. The Oppo R7 is now available for pre-order for $399.

For a limited time, Oppo also throws in a pair of iLike Speed Metal headphones for free to all those who pre-order the R7 in a certain timeframe. The Oppo R7 in the United States will also benefit from free shipping. Only the silver and golden version of Oppo R7 are now available for pre-order in the US.

The Oppo R7 comes with the octa core Snapdragon 615, a 5″ AMOLED display, a micro-sd card slot for expansion upto 128GB and is 4G ready. It comes with 3GB of RAM and 16GB of internal memory (expandable up to 128GB via a microSD card), and packs in a 2320 mAh battery.

On the camera front, the R7 features a 13MP rear unit and an 8MP front shooter. It runs the company’s newly announced ColorOS v2.1, which is built on top of Android Lollipop 5.1.

Amazon.co.uk has listed the OPPO R7 for pre-order on its website. The phone is priced for £259 ($400), and The former went on pre-order in some European countries, but it won’t hit shelves until July.s. OPPO has officially launched the R7 and R7 Plus in Beijing, last week.

OPPO has officially launched the R7 and R7 Plus today in Beijing.

The OPPO R7 features a 5-inch 1080p display while the Plus has a display of 6 inches 1080p. Both devices feature Snapdragon 615 64-bit processors, with 3GB of RAM. The R7 Plus packs 32GB of storage, expandable by up to 128GB via microSD, while the R7 comes with 16GB of storage.

Both the R7 and the R7 Plus feature metallic unibody constructions with chamfered sides and sculpted profiles. The front is covered by 2.5D glass, and the metallic back features similar curved edges, which should make for a nice feel in hand.

The R7 Plus packs a massive 4,100 mAh battery, which coupled with Oppo’s VOOC fast charging technology should ensure that it will stay up for days and days. The R7 Plus also features a fingerprint sensor on its back.

The R7 and R7 Plus comes with 13MP RGBW-type sensor can take images that are 32% brighter and with 78% less noise and a 8-megapixel front-facing camera; features include Flash Shot, laser-assisted Phase Detection Autofocus, and Anti-shake. The Oppo R7 and R7 Plus are running the Lollipop-based Color OS 2.1.

The Oppo R7 is priced at CNY 2,499 and the Oppo R7 Plus CNY 2,999. Both smartphones will be available for purchase in China starting tomorrow, and an international launch is set for mid-June.. Color options are silver and gold. The Oppo R7 and R7 Plus will become available for preorer on JD.com and Oppostyle.com from today.

Earlier: Oppo R7 Listed Online Ahead of it’s official Launch on May 20th
The Oppo R7 has been listed by an e-commerce website ahead of it’s official launch. According to the listing, the Oppo R7 smartphone will be available at CNY 2,999.

According to the online retailer, the Oppo R7 will feature a 5-inch full-HD (1080×1920 pixels) IPS display offering 441ppi pixel density; a 64-bit octa- core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor clocked at 1.7GHz; 3GB of RAM; an Adreno 405 GPU; 16GB inbuilt storage; a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash; an 8-megapixel front-facing camera; 3G; 4G; dual-SIM, and dual standby support.

The Android 5.0 Lollipop-based handset is said to be backed by a 2320mAh battery and also supports the company’s VOOC quick charger that can charge a battery to 75 percent in just 30 minutes.

Previously we had reported that Oppo R7 will be launching on 20th May. Now, few images from Chinese social networking site Weibo suggests that there will be two variants of R7 will be launched on 20th May. Alongside the 4.7-inch Oppo R7, a bigger variant Oppo R7 Plus is also going to be launched.

The Oppo R7 Plus features the fingerprint scanner on the back side of the device, where the R7 will have it embedded in the home button. The R7 Plus will feature a bigger than the 2000mAh capacity battery on R7. This is because of the slim design of the R7 cannot pack a bigger battery.

As earlier expected, the upcoming flagship R7 is going to be launched on 20 May and has 2.5D curved glass on top of the display. The devices don’t feature a bezel-less display but have a very thin bezels on both the edges. Oppo sent out the invitations for the event that takes places on 20 May. The devices comes with metal and glass build with three capacitive button at the bottom; there may be another version sporting a physical home button.

It is powered by a 64-bit Snapdragon 615 chipset and the other version comes with 64-bit Mediatek MT6752 chipset. The Mediatek powered might not be available outside of Asia. It runs on Google Android Kitkat 4.4.4 based Oppo’s Color OS. Both the versions comes with 4G LTE support and sports a 13MP rear camera along with 8MP front-facing camera.

Earlier: Oppo recently confirmed the launch of their latest flagship Oppo R7 in the month of May. Now, two new models of Oppo R7 have appeared on TENAA.

The two models Oppo R7C and Oppo R7T, which are the China Mobile edition and China Telecom version respectively. The Oppo R7C supports TD-LTE, TD-SCDMA and GSM networks while the Oppo R7T supports TD-LTE, LTE FDD, CDMA2000, CDMA 1X and GSM networks. Both will be dual sim standby supported.

The specs of the device include a 4.7-inch FullHD (1080p) display, Mediatek (MT6795) Helio X10 octa-core processor. On top of the device will be curved 2.5D glass front and dual speakers at the bottom like we saw on iPhone 6. At the back of Oppo R7 will be a 20.7MP laser auto focus camera. There will be a VOOC fast charging technology included like most of the other Oppo devices.

The alleged images of Oppo R7, a successor to the Oppo R5 appeared online. These images were tweeted by @Cinquetacche, and they reveal that the upcoming handset will feature a screen with no bezels.

Rumored specs of Oppo R7 include 64-bit true octa-core MT6795 CPU from MediaTek and a 20.7 MP camera on the back of the phone.There is no word on when Oppo plans on launching this smartphone.

The Oppo R5 was announced at Mobile World Congress 2015 earlier this year. The R5 is based around a 5.2-inch, 1080p resolution AMOLED screen and is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor backed up by 2 GB of RAM.
