Panasonic is surprisingly making a debut with its first Android Smartphone for the European market. The lucky handset will be called as Eluga and it was confirmed at the Panasonic Press meet. This isn’t a big news as the proto type of this handset was shown in December last year. Infact Panasonic made it very late in unveiling this handset. The phone will be headed to European market to be launched in March this year.
Panasonic Eluga Smartphone
Panasonic Eluga is packed with 4.3 inches qHD OLED display and it’s powered with 1 Ghz TI OMAP dual core processor. With 8 mega pixel camera added to this it will take pictures at its beauty and the Android version included in this mobile phone is the Android 2.3.5. This phone is capable of Near Field communication to tap and share content that you like. All these features are packed with thickness standing at just 7.8 mm. Moreover this phone by Panasonic gets IP 67 certification for being a water proof and dust proof tablet weighs just 103 grams. As I see most of the dust proof and water proof phones weights more than usual smartphones, this one is the lightest smartphone.
Panasonic as of now has powered this phone with Android 2.3.5 as it’s rushed for the launch and they have promised that they will updated this phone with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. Not by surprise that this will be the first phone from Panasonic in the Android category to receive the Android 4.0 update. As of now Panasonic didn’t comment on the price and the exact release date of this mobile phone but it will be available soon and we can expect that this device will be showcased at Mobile World Congress which is going to be held at Barcelona, Spain from February 27 this year. Nothing big for Panasonic this MWC event, atleast they one something to cheer for with Panasonic Eluga finally making debut in Europe.
