The following bugs have been found in this Touch Wiz UX application:
- Apart from the Gmail application, the normal email application doesn’t allow you to sync your mails,
- Just in case if you haven’t inserted the SIM card, you will not be able to turn ON the Samsung Apps on your Galaxy Tab. If more number of applications are simultaneously opened, then there are chances of force close errors which might arise.
Procedure to Port Touch Wiz UX on Samsung Galaxy Tab (Odin method):
- To flash with the help of the Odin, then first up you will have to download the TouchWiz UX Zip Package which contains Touch Wiz UX ROM and also you will have to ensure that the Samsung USB Drivers for both of the versions of Windows version like for 32 bit as well as for 64 bit are installed in your computer which can be downloaded from the Samsung’s website. Please note that the Touch WiZ UX ROM is the .tar file.
- Now, after this you need to open the Odin and then now you will have to first up turn Off the Galaxy Tab so as to enter the tab in the download mode. Now, you will have to also download the Odin Zip file and need to unzip the same so as to get the odin.exe file which you need to open the same on your tab.
- The download mode can be entered by holding the volume down button you will have to switch ON the device as shown in the below pictured manner.
- As soon as you enter into the download mode in your Galaxy Tab then you will have to now ensure that Odin is opened on your computer. Now, with the help of the USB Cable you need to connect the tab to your computer while the download mode is entered on your Tab.
- Once connected, you will see that the ID : COM block will turn yellow and then you need to click on the PDA tab and then you will have to select the tar file which you have extracted. Kindly ensure that you don’t change any default ticks and selections which will be there on the Odin.
- So, after checking that the tar file was correctly selected, you will now have to proceed for clicking on the “Start” button. As soon as you click on the Start button in the Odin, the process of installing will be initiated and then after few minutes, the device will be rebooted.
- As soon as the tab is restarted, you will have to put your tab in the Recovery mode. To enter into the recovery mode, long press the volume up key, press Menu as holding both the buttons press the power button to start
- In the recovery mode, you will now have to select the option that is “Factory Reset / Wipe” so that all the cache files are removed from the Galaxy Tab. Please note that performing this step will erase all the data which is there on you Galaxy TAB. So, you will have to ensure all the data is backed up. That’s it you have now successfully installed the Touch Wiz UX Port on your Samsung Galaxy Tab.
