Procedure to Root Samsung Galaxy S2 GT I9100 on XXLPQ Firmware:
- Download XXLPQ Rooting Package from here to your computer which contains all the essential files which you need for rooting the device. Once downloaded, you need to extract the files to get the files mentioned below. Even if single file is missing then you need to again re download the Zip file.
- From extracted files, open Odin and turn Off your Galaxy S2. Re insert the battery and press Volume down Key, Center button, and holding both simultaneously press the Power Button after which a green robot will be shown indicating the Download Mode has been entered.
- Once the device is entered in the Download Mode, you now need to connect the phone with the computer and after a minute you shall see that the ID : COM section will turn Yellow.
Note: if the ID : COM section doesn’t turn Yellow, you need to check with two things which are mentioned below,
- Install the USB Drivers in your computer &
- Go to the Path “Settings > Wireless & Network > USB Settings” and ensure that “Samsung KIES” option is ticked before connecting the phone to the computer.
- Click on “PDA” tab and select “CF-Root-SGS2_XX_XEO_LPQ-v5.3-CWM5”. You can find the file in the extracted zip file.
- Once the above mentioned files are selected, you now need to click on “Start” to start the process of firmware update. It will take less than 2 minutes ideally for finishing the rooting process.
- As soon as the rooting is done successfully, the phone will be rebooted automatically and once you see the home screen, remove the connected USB cable and re insert the battery in your phone so that you can then enter your phone in the recovery mode.
- To enter into the recovery mode, you need to turn Off your device so that you can enter your device in the recovery mode. Download mode can be entered by pressing Volume UP Key + OK button, and holding both simultaneously press the Power Button.
- In the recovery mode, select Wipe data/factory reset and also you need to select Wipe Cache partition and then reboot your device by selecting reboot system now with the help of Volume rocker keys.
