Procedure to Root HTC One X Android Smart Phone:
Download the Super boot Zip file from here to your computer. After downloading, you need to extract the same. There is no password what so ever added to the zip file.
Now, turn off your Phone so that you can then enter the HTC One X in the Bootloader Mode. To enter the Bootloader mode, press Volume Down rocker key and while holding this Power ON the device. Please note that if the device starts in the normal mode then you will have to again retry entering in the Bootloader mode.
- Connect the device to the computer using the Original USB cable. From the extracted files, open the file named as “install-superboot-windows” after which a new pop up window will be opening of the command prompt as shown in the below screen capture.
- If you are on MAC then open the terminal window and go to the directory containignt he files and type “chmod +x install-superboot-mac.sh” followed by “./install-superboot-mac.sh” command.
- If you are on the Linux based computer then open the terminal window and go to the directory containing he files and type “chmod +x install-superboot-linux.sh” followed by “./install-superboot-linux.sh” command.
- So that’s it once the process is completed, you will be intimated about the same via ON screen instruction in the command prompt. After this, you can remove the connected HTC One X Smartphone from the computer.
