ZTE Launches Grand X3 & Avid Plus Smartphones, Price Starts from $115

The Global handset maker, ZTE has launched two new smartphones called as ZTE Grand X3 and ZTE Avid Plus for the US carriers at the CES 2016 event. Both the smartphones support dual sim dual standby and runs on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop out of the box. The ZTE Grand X3 is a budget-friendly smartphone and will be available for sale via Cricket Wireless in the US priced at $129.99. On the other hand, the ZTE Avid Plus is a low-end device priced at $114.99 and will head to T-Mobile on January 20 and MetroPCS later this month.

The ZTE Grand X3 flaunts a 5.5-inch (1280×720 pixels) HD TFT display offering a pixel density of 267ppi. Under the hood, it comes powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 210 quad-core processor clocked at 1.3GHz accompanied with Adreno 304 GPU and 2GB of RAM. As earlier said, the device supports dual sim dual standby and runs on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop out of the box. It comes with 16GB of onboard storage and also includes a microSD card slot for further expansion upto 64GB

On the photographic section, the device sports an 8MP rear camera with autofocus, LED flash and a 2MP front-facing snapper for video chats and selfie lovers. Connectivity options on the device include 4G-LTE, VoLTE, Wi-Fi, GPS/A-GPS, Bluetooth and microUSB Type-C port. The Grand X3 is one of the cheapest devices from to feature a USB Type-C port. The handset juices a 3000mAh battery that can easily last for an entire day on mixed usage and also supports Fast Charging technology. Its dimensions measure 154.2 x 75.9 x 9.4 mm and weighs around 170 grams.

ZTE Avid Plus is an entry-level device targeted towards the low-end category customers for whom budget matters. The smartphone features 5-inch (854×480 pixels) FWVGA display with 196ppi as pixel density. The device comes equipped with Snapdragon 210 quad-core processor clocked at 1.1GHz coupled with Adreno 304 GPU. It comes with 1GB RAM, 8GB built-in storage that is further expandable upto 64GB using a microSD card slot.

On the camera front, the device sports a 5MP autofocus rear camera with LED flash and a 2MP front-facing camera for video calling and selfie clicks. It comes with basic connectivity options like 2G/3G, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS/A-GPS and microUSB 2.0 port. The handset packs a 2300mAh battery that the company claims can deliver upto 8 hours of talk time and upto 350 hours of standby time.
