ZUK Z2 Smartphone with 5″ FHD display, Snapdragon 820 SoC launched in China

After several leaks, ZUK has launched a new flagship handset on Tuesday called as ZUK Z2 in China. It is the successor of the Zuk Z1 smartphone launched last year in China and this month in India as well. The ZUK Z2 smartphone comes with top-end specifications and a reasonable price bracket. It also comes with U-Touch 2.0 fingerprint sensor, which will improve the handset usability with scratches and water resistance.

The ZUK Z2 smartphone features a 2.5D 5-inch IPS display with 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution which offers 441 PPI of pixel density. Under the hood, It relies on Quad-core processor clocks at 2.15 GHz with Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 SoC, which is the same chipset available on ZUK Z2 Pro smartphone launched last month in China. It is running on latest Android OS, which is a Marshmallow 6.0 with ZUI 2.0 out of the box.

It supports Dual SIM Dual standby and offers 4G LTE. Connectivity options include in the device such as 3G HSPA+, Bluetooth, USB Type-C port, FM Radio, 3.5 mm audio jack, and WiFi. Zuk Z2 smartphone features a fingerprint scanner that can unlock the device in 0.1 seconds. In the camera department, it has a 13-megapixel primary camera with PDAF, f/2.2 aperture, and electronic image stabilization, which will be recording a video capability up to 2160p at 30 frames per second. There is an 8-megapixel front camera with 80-degrees wide angle lens and f/2.0 apertures for selfies and video chats.

The ZUK Z2 handset houses a 64GB internal storage and 4 GB RAM. Surprisingly, there is no option for further expanding storage via microSD card slot. The handset packed with 3500 mAh battery with Quick charge 3.0 support for fast charging that can give charging up to 80 percent in one hour. It measures 151.65 x 68.88 x 8.45 mm of dimensions and weighs around 149 grams. The device will be available in Black and White color options and is priced at 1799 Yuan which will start the shipping in China from June 7th in 2016. Till now, there is no word on the availability of outside China.
