Apart from the HP Slate7 Plus, the company had silently launched another 7-inch Android tablet on their official website, and it is the HP Slate7 Extreme 4400US, a better version which is priced at $199.99 but right now, that is shown as “Out of Stock” and could be available any time soon. This tablet device has a little better features than the Plus variant and thus is the pricing. The 7-inch capacitive multitouch screen with the similar resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels and wide angle viewing as in the HP Slate7 Plus.
The internal powering provided in the HP Slate7 Extreme is by the NVIDIA Tegra 4 chipset, the A15 one and it’s a quad-core chipset clocking at 1.8 GHz and that is backed by 1GB DDR3 RAM. This processor technology has four cores and a second gen battery saver core, making it a 4+1 technology. Contrary to the storage provided in the Slate7 Plus (8GB), the Extreme has got 16GB of storage internally, and the user can opt to increase that with the MicroSD card to the maximum of 32GB.
Running the Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean OS, the Slate7 Extreme has got the connectivity limited to Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS and there is no support to the data network connectivity. The Bluetooth is of 3.0 tech and comes with the Miracast support. The battery comes with a capacity of 4100 mAh and that is said to provide around 10.5 hours of usage on a single charge. Camera wise, there is a 5-megapixel rear shooter with the Aufocus and instant HDR photography, and the front side has a VGA camera.
