Intex launched its latest budget offering ‘Aqua Pro‘ in India for Rs. 4,860. It will be available to purchase exclusively from Flipkart. The company announced the device in the month of May.
The device sports a 4.7-inch FWVGA (854×480) display and comes powered by Spreadtrum SC7731G quad-core processor clocked at 1.2GHz. It has only 512MB of RAM and 4GB of internal storage, whereas the similarly priced Honor Bee comes with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage. Out of the 4GB available on the Aqua Pro, only 2.14 will be available for the end user. There is a microSD card slot for memory expansion supporting upto 32GB.
It has an 8MP rear camera with autofocus and LED flash, and a 2MP front camera. The 1,800mAh battery on this device can deliver up to 6-7 hours of talk time and lasts up to 180 hours on standby.
Connectivity on the device includes 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPA and microUSB 2.0. There are many bloatware applications comes pre-installed on this device, they include OLX, Newshunt, Myntra, Clean Master and few others.
The device measures 135 x 69 x 9.6 mm and weighs 132 grams. Though the company mentioned the device will be available in the colors – Blue Silver, Black Silver, Black, but as of now only Black Silver model is available on Flipkart.
It will be facing tough competition from the Honor Bee that which offers somewhat better specs and costs only 4,499. Intex unveiled its first smartwatch iRist and SailFish OS running Aqua Fish at recently held MWC 2015 in Shanghai.
The Aqua Fish comes with 4.7-inch HD display, Snapdragon 400 processor with 1GB of RAM and 7GB of internal storage. It has an 8MP rear camera, 2MP front camera, and 2,300mAh battery. The device will be launched in India in September and will be priced around Rs.15,000.
