Procedure to Root Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 GT-P7510 USA Retail WiFi Only:
- Download Odin, Recovery & Rooting File from here to your computer. Once downloaded, you need to copy the file named as “Samsung_Galaxy_Tab_10.1_root.zip” in your tab by connecting the tab to the computer with the help of the original USB cable which you got at the time of purchase. Extract Odin Zip file to get the Odin application.
- Now, after copying disconnect the phone and turn Off your tab so that you can then turn ON your tab in the Download Mode.
- Press Volume Down button and then holding this rocker key, turn ON the tab by pressing the Power button after which the phone will be turning ON in the Download mode. Just in case if the phone gets turned ON in the normal mode, then you need to try entering the Download mode again.
- Once the tab gets turned ON, you need to select the option of “Downloading” as shown below and press the Power button to enter the same.
- Now once the device is entered in the Download Mode, you will have to connect the tab with the computer using the Original USB cable while keeping Odin in your computer.
- In Odin, you will see that the ID : COM section will be turning yellow which will mean that all the drivers have been installed successfully.
- After this, you need to click on “PDA” and choose the file which is named as “recovery.tar.md5” which is nothing but the Clock Work Mod recovery file.
- Once you select the file, click on “Start” to start the process of recovery installation. Once the custom recovery image is installed successfully, the tab will be restarted automatically. Once you see the home screen, you need to again turn Off your phone so that you can enter the device in the recovery mode.
- Press Volume Up button and then holding this rocker key, turn ON the tab by pressing the Power button after which the phone will be turning ON in the recovery mode. Just in case if the phone gets turned ON in the normal mode, then you need to try entering the recovery mode again.
- In recovery mode, you need to select the options of “wipe cache partition” as well as “wipe data / factory reset” and select “yes” so that both of these options are processed.
- After this, you need to select “install zip from sd card” to select the file which you have placed in your tab “Samsung_Galaxy_Tab_10.1_root.zip” and then navigate with the help of volume rocker keys to select “Yes”. Once you select the file, you need to wait till 3 – 4 minutes till the file gets processed.
- Now, select “++++ Go Back ++++” and select “reboot system now” to reboot the tab.
