Samsung Galaxy S III vs HTC One X ComparisonHTC One X and Samsung Galaxy S3 smartphones, its none less than a big confusion on to which one to choose from. In the due course of this article we will be making things much more simpler than ever by comparing both of these devices with all possible specs.

Features & Specs Comparison:

Galaxy SIII Vs HTC One X Comparison

Processor Comparison:

Samsung Galaxy S3 GT I9300 smartphone comes with the powerful 1.4GHz Quad Core processor which is equally good when compared with other smartphones but not when compared with HTC One X.

Despite HTC One X getting launched way before the Galaxy S3 launched, Samsung couldn’t even match the processor specification as One X comes with the MOST POWERFUL 1.5Ghz Quad Core processor.

Display Comparison:

Samsung Galaxy S3 comes with the huge 4.8 inches of screen size which comes with the Super AMOLED HD Display capability which is best in terms of other technologies as its the brightest screen and boasts 720p resolution.

HTC One X on other hand comes with the Super IPS LCD2 capacitive touch screen with the resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels and corning gorilla glass display.

The Super AMOLED HD display we find something better than the Super IPS LCD2 display but HTC One X display screen is not that bad in comparison.

Camera Comparison:

Samsung Galaxy S3 has slightly edge over the One X in terms of some camera specs as Galaxy S3 GT I9300 comes with the 8MP AF primary Camera capability which HD recording capability and HDR Filter. The only bad thing as of now is that the Burst mode can only capture 20 photos. Secondary Camera in S3 is of 1.9MP.

On other hand One X too comes with the 8MP camera which can too can take simultaneous HD Video and images just like Galaxy S3 and comes with the LED Flash The secondary camera in One X is of 1.3 MP which is less than that if S3. The pictures taken on the HTC One X are more crisper and lot more than Galaxy S III.

Operating System:

Samsung Galaxy S3 comes with the latest ICS Android 4.0.4 firmware version which is the latest as of now, sources say that this firmware can be upgraded to the future JellyBean Android 5.0.

HTC One X comes too comes with the latest Android’s ICS version but with the ICS 4.0.3 firmware. This phone too is capable of accommodating the future Jelly Bean Android 5.0 version which is slated to launch later this year.

Battery Comparison:

Battery is the most talked feature these days as smartphones are consuming more battery power than ever, all thanks to the data hungry apps which keeps on syncing the data which drains the battery faster than ever. Samsung Galaxy S3 comes with the 2100 mAH which breaks all the barriers when it comes to the battery power.

When compared with S3, One X just comes with the modest 1800mAH which is of Li-Ion.

Conclusion:

So after comparing the various aspects and considering all other things, it will be difficult to choose from the one but since One X has better processor and camera capabilities its wise enough to choose One X as your preferred phone as its priced cheaper than S3 device.

HTC one x should have considered giving external memory card slot because of this disability my friend bought samsung galaxy s3 what a user from india would do with free storgae from dropbox when the internet speed is too low

I had my HTC one X for 4 months now. I love it. I had to take the Samsung Skyrocket back. I had trouble with it. It did not send e-mails correctly. I had no trouble from day one with the OneX and the photos came out better than any phone I had. I am pretty much confident if I forget to take my Canon 5D mark III it will be ok. I still carry my Cannon system especially when I am on vacation or taking photos for functions. One time I forgot but the OneX saved the day.

How much is the difference between a 1.4 GHz vs 1.5 GHz? I currently use HTC Sensation and love the phone but the battery life is a big problem specially when one is using Maps which I do a lot. I am split between the processor speed/camera vs battery life. I know in the end i’ll need a make a choice but could someone help with some inputs!?

I decided for the One X, and I recommend not owed nothing to the majority of  users regarding the SIII. It is requested. Outside the Design, which is much more interesting than the SIII, personal opinion.

We never intend to hurt any smartphone manufacturer by promoting it in wrong way. We have all the devices including HTC One X and scribble about it based on the experience, review, usage. Its other case that S III is not launched.

Samsung is a copy cat. Bad built, cheap plastic material, annoying touchwiz, Hopeless in OTA update e.g. galaxy S2. Very poor PC suite Kies. The list is endless. I bought S2 for a hefty sum of Rs. 28,500. Sold it back for just Rs. 18, 000 in 3 months

    Hi Neal,

    As per the given specs S 3 is smaller than S2 in size ? how come , is it actually 131 X 63.6 x 8 ?

  14. Reply Rowlin May 5, 2012 at 11:41 pm

The question is, can you replace the battery in the S3? Although the battery looks large enough where a lot of people might not need to, 4G sucks the battery. Hopefully they didn’t cripple the phone and lock it up like the One X.

Yes, S III battery can be replaced unlike One X!

What are you smoking? HTC One X’s processor much powerful than SIII’s Exynos?! Research first before making stupid article like this! Exynos 4412 is faster & equipped with more powerful Mali400MP GPU than HTC One X’s poor optimized Nvidia Tegra 3 chip..
