How to Update Galaxy Note N7000 with Official XXLRK ICS 4.0.4 Firmware

Galaxy NOTE RED LogoUK users and other users apart from India of Samsung Galaxy Note N7000 can now upgrade their devices with the latest version of XXLRK ICS 4.0.4 firmware version which promises to fix all the bugs pertaining to the camera flash and force close issues in the Google PLAY Store along with few other apps. This update comes at a time when most of the users are awaiting the Jellybean 4.1 release, all thanks to Samsung for officially pushing this update. We just hope that Samsung will be soon coming up with the Jellybean 4.1 release. Please note that this is the Official firmware update released by Samsung Electronics and also is released in UK. Very soon there will be newer versions of custom ROM firmwares which will be based on ICS 4.0.4 firmware base.

All the data in your Galaxy Note N7000 should be backed up with the help of below mentioned steps manually. SMS – Use “SMS Backup & Restore app”,
Contacts – Sync with the Gmail application,
Call Log - Call Log and Restore
Images, Songs, Videos, Files – Copy to internal / External SD Card,
APN and MMS Settings – Note down from the path “Applications > Settings > Wireless and Network > Mobile Networks > Access Point Names

    i wanna update my note,i hv downloaded the new version 4.0.4 but complete the download i got the msg reboot mobile i did so, it seems the same version again and again.kindly reply i need ur help in this matter,i need to update the new version am quite eager about it.

    I updated my GT N7000 with XXLRK update and its working fine but the device is not connecting to kies rather it says that my device is not supported for updates via kies and MTP driver is also not being installed on my PC and everytime it fails. Can u suggest some fix?

    No problem with instalation, BUT this update saps a lot more power on my Current Widget? We already battle with battery life to get through 8 hours a day and now its even worse!

    Installed ICS4.04 with Odin and works OK. Recovery was not needed, after reboot Mobile seetings show Android 4.04 installed.

    beware of upgrading to ICS 4.0.4. You may get ‘Network Control Lock Key’ after the upgraded, no matter if your phone was unlocked or not.
