ZTE, a global smartphone maker, unveiled the AXON mini with pressure sensitive touch screen back in July. Today, the company has finally launched the device as well as confirmed its global availability in an event held in China. Along with the AXON mini versions, ZTE also unveiled the AXON Watch and the AXON MAX – a larger-screen smartphone device with a bigger battery.

ZTE AXON mini
The main highlight of the ZTE Axon Mini is it comes with a pressure-sensitive touch screen, and its body is made from Boeing 787 aircraft-grade aluminum-titanium alloy. The device also supports multiple biometric authentication options, including fingerprint, voice control, and eye-scan.

This device comes with 5.2 inches of OLED screen along with the 1080 x 1920p resolution having a PPI of 424. Powered with 1.5GHz of Octa Core Processor, this device also comes with 3GB of RAM along with internal storage of 16GB which can be expanded up to 128GB with the help of external sd card slot. This device features the 8MP of front as well as rear camera. While this device doesn’t support 4G LTE, this phone comes with the Android 5.1.1 OS with 7.9mm thickness along with 150 grams of weight. This phone comes with other basic connectivity options like 3G, WIFI, GPS etc.

Price and Availability:
All versions of the ZTE AXON mini will be available to purchase in China online from ZTE’s own MyZTE store and JD.com, as well as offline from major retail outlets. In the coming months, the ZTE AXON mini will also be made available in Hong Kong, Thailand, Singapore, Russia, Japan, India, Australia, France, Germany, Turkey, Spain and Italy.
ZTE AXON mini will be available in colors- Ion Gold, Chromium Silver and Rose Gold. The device is priced at 2299 CNY (Ion Gold and Chromium Silver), 2399 CNY (Rose Gold) in China; $379 (Ion Gold and Chromium Silver), $399 (Rose Gold) in Asia-Pacific and €329 (Ion Gold and Chromium Silver), €349 (Rose Gold) in Europe. There is also a Premium Edition of the device priced at 2699 CNY in China, $439 in Asia-Pacific, and €389 in Europe.
There is also an NBA variant of the the AXON mini that comes in various design options, featuring NBA images, and comes pre-loaded with number of NBA services. The AXON mini NBA version is a result of a partnership between ZTE, the NBA and Tencent.
