Android N brings the option to add weather icon in the Quick settings

Android Nougat brings in the option to edit quick setting panel list. We can now add and remove items from this panel. Few other customized UIs have this option earlier for instance CyanogenMod 13. But this time we are going to have it on the stock version of Android N. We are also getting few other items to add in the panel and ‘Weather Quick Settings’ is one of them being added first in the list.

The app has 14 different weather icons, like sunny, cloudy to name a few. To match the system theme, those will be in white color. It also shows the temperature, description of the weather at different weather conditions. In the settings, we also get the options to customize description, temperature units, and refresh rate as per the need. Just a tap on the weather icon updates the weather condition and double tap opens up the settings.
Few other items are being added to the quick settings panel list, and one more of them which we have information is the Dark or Night mode. We will have to wait to know more about the other icons.

To use this feature, you need Android N, i.e. Nougat installed in your device. As of now, only a few selected devices have got the official developer preview 5 of the Android N update. Stay tuned to know more.
