Polar added one more Sports Smart Watch to its Sports club by launching Polar M600. The company has showcased various products on its website varied from Activity Tracker, Fitness Band/Tracker, Heart Rate Monitors, GPS Watch to Sports Smart Watch along with few other products. And these are categorised as Lifestyle, Sport, and Pro devices. You can go ahead and explore the options you get there as desired.
The company is known for its Heart Rate Monitors and Activity Trackers, the M600 quite balance between both a smartwatch and an activity tracker.
With this you can get the usual Android Wear functionality; customizable watch faces, notifications, third-party apps, along with 512MB RAM and 4GB of inbuilt storage to sync your files from your device to access later, a 1.3 inch 240×240 pixels, 260ppi TFT display protected with Corning Gorilla Glass v3, a 500mAh battery which it claims that can last up to 2 days, and a MediaTek MT2601 processor. It is compatible with both Android and iOS, having Android version 4.3 or higher and iPhone 5 or later running iOS 8.2 or higher. It also supports Bluetooth and WiFi connectivity. And it seems to be lacking an integrated speaker.
Apart from these features, you get an activity tracker with an accelerometer, integrated GPS, ambient light sensor to adjust the brightness automatically, and 6 LED optical heart rate sensor which can take accurate measurements while exercising. The band is washable and removable which means you can replace the band with a new one. And it is certified with IPX8 water resistance which means it can be submerged under water up to 10 meters while swimming or diving in the water.
It seems to be a standalone device consisting of many features from other Polar devices. It tracks your whole day activity, sleep patterns. It provides smart coaching to complete goals through different running apps, and it is fully compatible with the Polar Flow app on Android and software for desktop computers.
The charger which comes with it is the same as the Polar Loop 2. I’d say this is a sustainable strategy to make customers come again and try their products as it is convenient to use any of the two chargers which are handy. It will be available in the market within one or two months with the price 349 EUR as mentioned on its site. And it will be coming with two color variants, Black and White.
