Gionee announced new smartphone ‘Pioneer P2M‘ in India. It will be the successor for Pioneer P2 which was launched way back in 2013. The device is priced at Rs. 6,999 and comes with a huge 3,000mAh battery.
Mr. Timir Baran Acharyya, GM, Gionee India said, “Battery still remains a huge concern for the smartphone users especially in the sub 10K category in India, and to bring a revolutionary change to the user experience, we are excited to announce our latest offering the P2M.” He also added, “The Pioneer P2M is one of its kind in India with a massive power backup over 3000 mAh. With Gionee’s innovation and power driven technology, the Pioneer P2M will ensure long lasting communication and a better experience for the consumers.”
Coming to the specifications, the P2M comes with 4-inch WVGA (800×480) display and powered by a MediaTek MT6582 quad-core processor clocked at 1.3GHz with 1GB of RAM. It has 16GB of internal storage, out of which only 10.47GB will be available to the user. There is also a microSD card slot for storage expansion up to 32GB.
It has a rear camera of 5MP with autofocus and LED flash; there is also a 0.3MP front camera. The device supports dual SIM dual standby and runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop based Amigo 3.0 OS. As per the company, the 3,000mAh battery will last for 300 hours on standby and gives 15 hours of talk time when connected over 3G.
The Connectivity features on this device are 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS/A-GPS and microUSB 2.0. It comes with lot many bloatware apps like Saavn, WeChat, Yahoo Cricket, Gionee Tender and few more.
The device measures 124.0 X 62.5 X 10.9 mm and weighs 140 grams. It will available in the colors – White, Black, and Gold. The company includes Protective film and Transparent protective cover for free along with the device. As of now the device is available purchase through Gionee India’s official website.
