HP has announced three new Android tablet devices in the Chinese market, but the company has decided to give it the Compaq branding, and thus the three tablets introduced by the company include HP Compaq 7, HP Compaq 7J, and HP Compaq 8 which are all available for pre-order and soon would be available in the Chinese markets for a budget pricing.
The internal powering provided in each of the tablet device is the same, with HP including the 1GHz Allwinner A31s quad-core processor along with 1GB of RAM, and there is 16GB of internal storage included, which again is the same in all the three devices. They differ a bit with the display, and the details are as follows.
HP Compaq 8
The Compaq 8 named tablet from HP comes with a 7.85-inch capacitive touchscreen and an IPS display with the screen resolution of 1024 x 768 pixels. There is a 2-megapixel rear camera and a 0.3-megapixel front shooter. The battery included in this tablet device has a capacity of 3800 mAh, and the Compaq 8 runs Android 4.2 Jelly Bean OS. The tablet costs ¥1,199.00 ($196) but for a limited time, HP is giving this for ¥999.00.
HP Compaq 7
This tablet device has a 7-inch TN display with the screen resolution of 1024 x 600 pixels, and it runs the Android 4.2 Jelly Bean OS. While the processor, RAM and storage are the same as given above, the camera too is the same as in the Compaq 8. The pricing of this tablet is unknown, but we expect that to be less than the Compaq 8 tablet.
HP Compaq 7J
The 7J from HP has an IPS display with the screen size, i.e. 7-inch having a resolution of 1024 x 600 pixels. This too runs the Android 4.2 Jelly Bean and the battery capacity of it is 3000 mAh. Similar to the other two tablet devices announced, it has the quad-core processor, 1GB RAM and similar cameras. The pricing of the HP Compaq 7J is set at ¥1,399 ($229).
