The Indian manufacturer iBall has officially announced its first octa-core tablet, the Slide Octa A41, today. The iBall Slide Octa A41 earlier this month was listed on the company’s site with pricing; though there was no word on availability. The tablet was also available to buy from the online retailer ahead of the company’s announcement.
The iBall Slide Octa A41 features a 7-inch IPS full-HD (1920×1080 pixels) display with a 323ppi pixel density. It is powered by an unspecified 1.7GHz octa-core ARM Cortex-A7 processor alongside 2GB of RAM. It runs Android 4.4 KitKat.
The single-SIM voice-calling tablet sports an autofocus 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, while it also houses a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. The rear camera features options such as voice capture, face detection, smile shot, Self-timer, and HDR. The Slide Octa A41 includes 16GB of inbuilt storage that is further expandable via microSD card (up to 32GB).
iBall has provided various connectivity options including Wi-Fi, 3G, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS and USB connectivity features. The iBall Slide Octa A41 measures 193x115x8mm and supports multi-language keyboard (19 regional languages). The company notes that the tablet comes with built-in earpiece allowing phone calls without earphones. It packs a 3500mAh battery. The iBall Slide Octa A41 comes preloaded with the full version of Asphalt 7: Heat.
Last month, iBall had launched the Slide 6351-Q40 Android tablet. With 7 inches of screen size, this tablet comes with the 800 x 480p resolution along with the multi-touch IPS screen along with the 1.3 GHz quad-core Cortex A7 processor. Loaded with the Android 4.4 KitKat OS, this tablet comes with a 512MB RAM, 8GB internal memory and also comes with the 32GB expandable memory with microSD card slot. Along with the 2MP of rear facing camera with LED Flash, this device also comes with the 0.3MP of VGA front facing camera.
Slide Octa A41 has been priced at Rs. 14,999.
