Kobian, a brand that produces various products for computers and electronics under the brand name “Mercury”, has launched a 7-inch Android tablet, the Mercury mTab streaQ Duo, which is a 7-inch Dual-SIM tablet device having a screen resolution of 1024 x 600 pixels and it is powered by a Dual-core processor. There are several tablet devices and smartphones launched by Kobian earlier to this, but the mTab streaQ Duo is one which comes with the Dual-SIM functionality.
Running the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean OS, the Mercury tablet has the 1.2 GHz dual-core MediaTek MT8577 processor under the hood, supported by 1 GB DDR3 RAM. The Dual SIM 2G + 3G comes with the Dual Standby and there are two cameras included in the device – 2.3-megapixel camera on the rear side, and a 0.3-megapixel VGA camera on the front. One SIM card supports the 3G connectivity, and thus this would be quite advantageous, and there is a full support for the voice calling through the tablet device.
The battery packed in has got a capacity of 3100 mAh, and the mTab streaQ Duo has a weight of 320gm which is not much, for a decent looking Android tablet with a 7-inch screen. Having an internal storage of 8GB, the tablet device supports the storage expansion via MicroSD card, to a maximum of 32GB.
