Procedure to Root Samsung Galaxy R I9103:
- Assuming that you have downloaded the Rooting package zip file which is there in the last page (Pre Requisites section), you now need to extract the same in your computer. In the process of rooting, it will ask you to enter the password, enter the password as “androidadvices.com” without the inverted comas.
- Once the files are extracted, you will get to see the two files, KIES tool as well as another file named as “” which is the tar file.
- Open the Odin from the extracted files and turn Off the phone to enter into the download mode. The download mode can be entered by pressing Volume Down Key + OK button, and holding both simultaneously press the Power Button. To know more, you can refer to the below video to enter into download mode.
- Upon entering the download mode, connect the phone to the computer using the USB cable which you got at the time of purchase. Once you connect the same, the ID : COM section in the Odin will turn yellow which will mean that all the drivers have been successfully updated and you are now ready to select the files in the Odin.
- Now, in the Odin you need to click on the “PDA” tab and select the file named as “GalaxyR_i9103_RootingTAR_AAD” which will be there in the extracted files folder.
- Once you select the same, check and click on the “Start” tab to start the process of rooting. Within a minute the Galaxy R phone will be rebooting which will signify that the rooting process is done successfully.
After this you will have to turn Off the phone so that you can then enter into the recovery mode. The recovery mode. The recovery mode can be entered by pressing Volume UP Key + OK button, and holding both simultaneously press the Power Button as shown in the below video. In the recovery mode, select Wipe data/factory reset and also you need to select Wipe Cache partition and then reboot your device by selecting reboot system now option
To check whether the device has been successfully rooted or not, after rooting you will get to see the two additional applications which are “Super user” and “CWM” which will mean that the rooting is successful. Just in case if you are unable to see these both then you again need to apply this whole process again so as to root the device. Just in case if the process get stuck in the middle then you need to repeat the whole process again.
