Samsung Galaxy S2 GT I9100 users from United Arab Emirates or users of I9100G can now make use of the latest firmware which supports Arabic as in the due course of this article we will be checking out on how to install this Arabic firmware in your device which is dubbed as JPKK1. This update can be applied by all the users of Galaxy I9100G irrespective of the current country as this is the global update. If you are applying this firmware on rooted phones then the rooting access will be revoked. This is the Gingerbread 2.3.6 firmware which is officially released by Samsung Electronics for UAE users.

Pre Requisites:
- Backup all the data present in your phone with the help of below instructions so that just in case if the data gets corrupted or erased, the same can be restored easily. Since it’s a beta firmware, KIES won’t be supported after applying this update.
SMS – Use “SMS Backup & Restore app”,
Contacts – Sync with the Gmail application,
Call Log – Call Log and Restore
Songs, Videos, Files – Copy to internal / External SD Card,
APN and MMS Settings – Note down from the path “Applications > Settings > Wireless and Network > Mobile Networks > Access Point Names”
- Enable the USB Debugging Mode in your phone from the path “Settings > Applications > Development > USB debugging. Ensure that the USB Debugging option is ticked as shown in the below screen capture.
- Minimum battery level present in your phone should be 60% so as to ensure that the device doesn’t get turned Off in the middle of firmware update.
