When a network operator is launching something new, it has much to do with the connectivity, and that is what the first Ellipsis branded tablet from Verizon Wireless is all about. The Ellipsis branding is new from Verizon and they have come up with a 7-inch tablet device which is priced at $250 and this would be available soon in the US market, with a 7-inch HD screen and other decent features.
The tablet would come with an IPS display having the HD resolution (we are not sure of the actual pixel resolution), and under the hood there is a 1.2 GHz quad-core processor with 1 GB of RAM. The front side shows a camera on the top in portrait mode, and the bottom shows the Verizon branding, while on the rear side there is a 3.2-megapixel camera. The internal storage included in the Ellipsis 7 tablet is 8GB, and it has got a MicroSD card slot for the storage expansion.
Coming to the connectivity, the Verizon Ellipsis 7 tablet has got the 4G LTE connectivity with the Verizon network and it has a mobile hotspot support for up to eight Wi-Fi devices. Running the Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean OS, the Ellipsis 7 weighs less than 1 pound and Verizon says it’s the “first product from Verizon Wireless in the Ellipsis family,” giving impressions that the company is going to come up with some more tablet devices in the near future.
Need some discount on this? Verizon has put up a limited time offer where the customers who are purchasing any tablet device with a 2-year contract, are going to get a discount of $100. We would get to know more details as soon as the Ellipsis 7 is available at the Verizon stores, from 7th November 2013.
