Acer Iconia Tab A200 launched in Australia with Ice Cream Sandwich at 349 AUD
Iconia Tab A200 has been launched in the Australian market, after the rumors around going true about its launch pretty soon. The biggest news there is the price, which is set at just 349 Aus Dollars, making it pretty cheap in the recent market of the Android tablet devices, and the tab having the latest Android, i.e. the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich version, this could be a big entry into the market. The catch about this, is that the Iconia Tab A200 would be available in Australia only at the Harvey Norman stores.
As of now, the tab would be having the Android Honeycomb OS but from January, the ICS would be available officially. The announcement of the tab was made a few weeks back, and now the device is already in the retail market. The Acer Iconia Tab A200 is powered by the NVIDIA Tegra 2 Dual Core processor, with the 1GHz speed. It has got a 2MP front camera that would assist in the video calling, and it has the 10.1-inch touchscreen with 1280×800 pixel screen resolution.
The Iconia tab has something called the Ring UI which would keep the interface different from what would be seen in the other standard Android tablets and smartphones. It has got most of the connectivity options, like the Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, but as we see in the list of specifications, it is the Wi-Fi tablet with no 3G connectivity options.
