Acer has launched its latest Android phone Acer Liquid Metal which promises a new look and up to 10 times faster browsing than the previous Acer Liquid editions. This smartphones comes with a number of improvements over the original Liquid model.
The Acer Liquid metal has a 3.6″ capacitive touchscreen and an amazing 5 megapixel camera with auto focus and LED flash technology. The camera can take 720p HD video at 30 fps. The camera comes with image stabilization, face recognition technology.
It comes with a Android 2.2 FroYo operating system and a Qualcomm 7230 processor running at 800 MHz. Its believed that Android latest version 2.2 also called as FroYo is 5 times faster than the earlier version. This also includes 512 MB RAM with accelerometer. This provides at data speed of 14.4Mbps and 802.11 through Wi-Fi. The Dolby surround sound technology with Equalizer profiles and dynamic bass boost, that we have seen it on Acer Stream also comes with this handset. The Liquid Metal can also acts as a wireless server for UPnP/DLNA compliant devices.
This smartphone provides SocialJogger Application which aggregates Facebook and Twitter feeds to view directly through the dedicated widget on the home screen and comment or share directly from the user friendly interface. With Breeze, the new Acer user interface helps you to customize the home screen as you like and rearrange the way you access applications to your needs. It also helps use to manage application more easily on Acer mobiles. Provided with Bluetooth 3.0 and microsd card slot it can take mobile computing to next level.
The Acer Liquid Metal is the new Android based smartphone which is specially designed for all those who love to have all the latest features with perfect tool to meet the growing needs of being connected to the world. It will be available in two color- brown and silver and will be available from mid November with silver arriving in December 2010. The price of it is set as $475.
