Android to come in Indian Local Languages through Robosoft

android indian local languageRobosoft, an Indian company which has produced hundreds of applications on the Android platform, would be developing the local version of the Android operating system, for the Indian local languages where users would be seeing the entire interface in the local language, targeting users who have been having a hard time with the English language.

One of the main reasons why the Indian mobile users have been keeping away from the geeky smartphones, is the English language with all the apps and almost everything in the mobile being in a single default language. Making yourself smartphone friendly needs you to get engaged easily with the language, and that is what Robosoft is trying to do with the target of launching the OS in a few Indian languages initially.

Speaking to the AndroidAdvices team, Robosoft said that it would be launching the local versions in 5 languages initially, including Hindi as one of them, and we are expecting Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Gujarati, Marathi and Malayalam later on as the company is based at Karnataka and getting it worked on would be easier, and this version would not be publicly launched but they are doing it for one of the leading mobile manufacturers who would launch it through the next range of Android smartphones.

No longer a smartphone would have a local language as a separate setting or mode, but it would actually be the default main language which the large non-geek user base would love in the coming future. The local language integration would make the opening of the websites of same language faster than in the English ones, because there is no translation needed separately.
