Nexus 5 is going to get some changes to its hardware from post release to fix the problems that went unnoticed, which went for sale in hundreds of thousands. It happened even with the predecessor (Nexus 4) before. This problem with the Nexus 5 hardware came into lime light when there was a discussion on the Forum of the XDA-Developers regarding some of the hardware problems from the batch marked 311k on the box. Any how this is a common problem faced by all the hardware manufactures. Earlier in Nexus 4, the glass of the rear was little fragile and was prone to scratches and also for cracking, so tiny rubber nipples were added to it to overcome the problems faced.

A costumer returned his faulty handset and got a new variant from Google with all the problems of the old one getting fixed. The problems were regarding the cutting-edge display frame, noisy and shaky buttons and a protruding SIM tray. The old and new device were put side by side and found out that they have a different shell. The revised Nexus 5 had a bigger speaker holes compared to the older one (which gave a buzzy noise) and the buttons were sturdier too. The display also didn’t have any yellow tint in it.

Google stepped up and took immediate steps to eliminate the hardware problems. The customers will definitely be unpleased with the earlier handsets that had the hardware malfunctions, but now will be relived because Google is going to get them replaced.

So for all the Google Nexus 5 users having the hardware problems, you can exchange your phone for a newer one. If you are facing any hardware problems other than these, then let us know. Comment in the comment section if you are satisfied with the response of Google.

As the title suggests, it’s LG again. Today there are many hints that the Smart Phone would get officially announced by Google along with the Android 4.4 Kitkat version. This is the second Nexus device from LG and all the official specifications of the Nexus 5 are leaked already prior to the launch of the smartphone, and this is all thanks to Wind Mobile, the Canadian carrier who set up a pre-registration page which had the A to Z details of the smartphone.

Thanks to the redditter throwawaynexus5guy, we have a few screenshots of the Phone.

The leaked specs this time again aren’t any different from the earlier leaks because we get to see the Snapdragon 800 processor under the 4.95-inch Full HD display, but the camera is still an 8-megapixel shooter. It still is expected to do some good capturing with the OIS feature (which was seen in the LG G2 recently). It would run the Android 4.4 KitKat OS.

After Google had held the Play Store night party where nothing actually related to the Android products happened, there is still no confirmation about the actual date of announcement of the Nexus 5. One of the very well known leaker on the web, Evleaks, has tipped us with yet another press render with White color being showcased, and they even tipped us with the date of announcement, which would possibly be 1st November.

The renders show that the phone isn’t entirely white, and thus looks more appealing because of the white front color. That could be either the October 31st or November 1st as the 1/11 date can be when the phone gets launched.

Nexus 5 Android Phone was supposed to get announced on 18th this month alongside Kit Kat Android 4.4 OS, but unfortunately we got to hear no announcement. Though, Google didn’t launch the details about the Nexus 5 officially, the listing of Nexus 5 accidentally got leaked on Google PLAY Store. Though, the Gooogle Store Link is dead now, many of them managed to sneak through on how this Nexus 5 looks like. Its almost the same as the few concepts which we all must have seen somewhere. We have also mentioned the picture of NEXUS 5.

We caught Google promoting this product as “Capture the everyday and the epic in fresh new ways. Starting at $349”. The pricing of this starts from $349 if we go as per the listing and is only available in Black Color to start with. We will keep you posted about all the latest on Nexus 5.

The Nexus 5 pictures were just leaked and now the most important part, the pricing of the device have been leaked and it shows that the battery depends on the storage of the device. Each model of the device has got a different battery capacity. Here’s the details:

  • 16GB LG Nexus 5 – 2300 mAh battery – $299
  • 32GB LG Nexus 5 – 3000 mAh battery – $399

Meanwhile do reply in the following poll and let us know with your choice :

It is interesting to see that the battery is different in both, but that could disappoint the users who are considering to purchase the 16GB model, because the other internal specs are still the same. Last year, the Nexus 4 came with the 8GB and 16GB models, and both of them had the same 2100 mAh battery in them, and the pricing was $299 and $349 respectively.

Check out soon for more details.

While Google and LG are still tight lipped on the upcoming Nexus 5 Android smartphone which is now long awaited, in the recent KitKat’s statue erection Video, camera seems to have caught the upcoming Nexus 5 Android smartphone mistakenly. Oops Google! Camera has got you! When asked to LG Electronics, LG refused to comment on this and further added that it has nothing to comment on specifically on Nexus 5 as of now. Though, Google has removed the Video from its official website, we have mentioned the image below for your ready reference;

In the latest, Google is set to be working with Nikon to bring on board Nikon’s expertise to the next version of Nexus 5. If you could just recollect, then Google and Nikon have worked together in coming out with the Nikon Coolpix S800C smart camera which is based on Android OS. Also, Google has acquired Nik software last year who are the makers of the popular app “Snapseed” and in which Nikon has invested substantially. So, indirectly Nikon and Google wants to leverage each other’s expertise. Google wants to have a level playing field with Nokia’s Pure View technology, HTC’s Ultrapixel war and Apple iPhone’s brilliant camera.

Pricing and Availability:
We will keep you posted about the exact details of Nexus 5 Availability and pricing but as per the close sources, Nexus 5 is slated for the showcase in the upcoming Google IO event which is scheduled in this May 2013 and is expected to be priced around $399 / $449 / $499 for 16 / 32 / 64 GB variant. The reason for such a pricing makes sense as the BOM (Bill of Material) cost for making the above specs laden phone is no more than $249 and considering a premium of around $100+ as Google will save on marketing cost and other dealer incentives for selling its Nexus 5 smartphone.

I think you are wrong in this line -> If Nexus 5 is launched by LG then this is the first time that a Nexus device is being launched twice by any handset manufacturer. Samsung launched the Nexus S (Dec, 2010) and Galaxy Nexus (Nov, 2012). Means Nexus device is launched by Samsung twice.
