HTC has made the red version of the HTC M8 official after many leaks. Jeff Gordan, the HTC global manager tweeted that the Red variant has been launched in Taiwan. Moreover news came up that the Blue and Red versions of the HTC One M8 are going for pre-order in UK via retailer MobileFun. Both these versions are available only in the 16 GB versions and are priced at 549.99 GBP which is pretty high. These Red and Blue versions of the HTC flagship models will feature the same specifications & HTC One M8 has a 5-inch FHD touchscreen display with 1080 x 1920 pixels resolutions and will run the latest on Android 4.4 KitKat operating system with HTC’s own Sense 6 UI. The device is powered by a 2.5 GHz quad core snapdragon 801 processor coupled with 2 GB of RAM and Adreno 330 GPU. The battery on the device is at 2600 mAh on the back to power the device.
The HTC One M8 comes with rear camera with 4 Ultra pixels for capturing of the photos and a 5Mp front camera has been used for high quality of video calling and selfies. The on-board memory of the device is at 16 GB and it can be further extended up to 128 GB via microSD card slot. The connectivity includes a Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac adapter, Bluetooth, NFC and GPS. Apart from these the device will come with HTC’s boom sound speakers and the normal 3.5 mm audio jack along with many pre-loaded apps.
HTC One M8 has come up with Gunmetal Grey, Glacial Silver, and Amber gold options earlier, when the phone was first unveiled few months ago. As per a recent leak HTC is also expected to announce a Pink version of HTC 0ne M8 in the future. The successor of the One Mini, ie the HTC One Mini 2 also got leaked in Gray, Silver and Gold color variants recently. Many are eagerly waiting to see these new color options of the flagship device of HTC.
